Coverage details can vary depending on which company you purchased your policy from. Ultimately, that company handles your claim. Then, your insurer reviews the estimate with you, explaining how much repairs cost and your deductible/out-of-pocket costs.
You’re free to use any repairer or contractor you’d like to complete the repairs. If some, or all, of your damages aren’t covered, your insurer sends a letter of explanation and is available to answer any questions if you need more details.
